Artie's Wing Night Out

On Thursday November 10th it was another wing night for the Buckingham crew and we made our way over to Frenchtown to Arties Bar and Grill https://www.arties-frenchtown.com/

Firs time to Arties, what an experience!

It’s a bit of a travel to get here and it’s all back roads; lots of curves and no street lights. If you drive too fast, you pass the entrance to the driveway. Stepping in, the place is huge, 2 sides with bars on both. If you follow us, you know that one category we grade is external curricular activities; well there was some interesting extra-curricular activities that evening for sure. They have lots of TVs, so there's always a game on, they also have 2 pool tables, but if you plan on playing you'll need to find out the pool league's schedule. Then there's line-dancing...yes, you read this right, they had lots of people with cowboy boots, hats and big buckles out on the floor dancing up a storm. There was an additional charge to get to the other side of the bar to dance on Thursday nights, and I was told that every other Thursday they have an instructor there to show you how to line dance. (A little side note: This member of the club learned to line dance to some country music back in the late 90s in the oddest place, Germany!) Looking at their website, they also have live bands and shows on the weekends. 

Lets get to the wings, many flavors: Buffalo, Sweet Thai Chile, BBQ, Garlic Parm, Lemon Pepper (rub), Cajun (rub). Got to say that those that were tossed in sauce were good, but the dry rub wings were a bit dry (more than just the fact that they were dry rubbed). Fries were good, a little light on the cheese sauce but still tasty. Beer selection was good and overall the place wasn't bad. Definitely worth a visit if you are in the area
